Drakenstein Mark Installation
Drakenstein had their annual Installation on the 28th May 2019. A good force of eleven District Officers turned out to do the work. The actual Installation was done by our Deputy District Grand Master, Rodney Frank Atkinson, and was done impeccably. This was also his swan song, as a new Deputy, Daniel Lawrence Gadd-Claxton, will be appointed at the Mark Annual Meeting on 3rd July 2019. Brother Frederick Willem Scanlen was installed as Master. Transvaal Mark and RAM Annual General Meetings
Transvaal Mark had their Annual General Meetings of the Mark and Royal Ark Mariners on Saturday 11th May 2019. Western Division was represented by our DGM, Pieter van den Berg and Assistant DGM, Hilton Oates.
New Advancement – St. George Mark No. 551
On the 2nd May 2019, St. George Mark had a new Candidate – Jacobus Petrus Wessel Woods – a Deep Sea Diver. Despite only a small number of members present, the Advancement went off without a hitch and was enjoyed by all participants. This was followed by a formal Festive Board.

Mark Spit Braai.
Once again the Mark’s Spit Braai held on Sunday 7th April 2019, went off with a BANG. The weather was perfect and the new venue was also perfect. This year it was held at the Goodwood Sports Club, which did not charge any hire fee and supplied bar waitresses at no cost, thereby enabling us to donate more to our charity. The charity we support is the De Heide Special Care Centre. We also had donations from K. Fielder of R5000, Verselac R7000, OSM R1000, Cape Centenary R1000 and Israel R500. An American auction was also held which raised money....

Advancements at Drakenstein Mark Lodge No. 1120

On the 6th March 11 Officers from the Cape Centenary Lodge of Installed Mark Masters, travelled to Drakenstein Mark Lodge at Worcester in order to do two advancements for them.
