St. George Mark Lodge held their annual Installation on Thursday 3rd November 2022. This was the last Installation for the District for the year 2022. The outgoing Master, T.B. Hay, carried out the Installation himself, and it was done in an exemplary manner. Bro. S.R. Sillifant was Installed as Master, Bro. M.C. Wilson as Senior Warden and Bro. V.P. Morgan as Junior Warden. There were a total of 25 people in Lodge, which included three members of Sister Constitutions. District did all the addresses. Walter Weeden Mark and Phoenix RAM had their Installations on Saturday 22nd October 2022. Phoenix RAM Installed W. Bro. G.C.L. du Plooy in to the chair of Noah, Bro. G.L. Carver as Senior Warden and Bro. N.A. Griffin as Junior Warden. Walter Weeden Mark Installed Bro. G.L. Carver as Master, Bro. K.A. Beelders as Senior Warden and Bro. G.A. Potgieter as Junior Warden. Neither of the proposed Wardens were present, so they will be installed at the next meeting. This was followed by a combined Festive Board which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The Mark Grand Lodge had their meeting on the 13th of September 2022 at the Freemasons Hall in Great Queen Street London. Three of our members were in attendance at this meeting. John Darné who was there to receive Mark promotion to the Grand Degree of Past Grand Junior Overseer, Ernest Malherbe (DGM Craft) and Walter Marcus Craft DG Secretary. Also in attendance was Tony Harvey, a member of Cape Centenary Lodge. The meeting was very well attended, and the Main Hall was packed. A very successful Annual Meeting was held on Saturday 2nd July 2022, The meeting was well attended, despite the cold, and a goodly number of members were present. We also had the District Grand Masters from Transvaal, Eastern and Natal present, plus representatives from other Districts and Constitutions. The meal and festivities which followed the meeting were enjoyed by all.

District carried out it’s final Installation for the year at Drakenstein Mark on the 31st May 2022. W. Bro. Eugene Cilliers went in as Master, W. Bro. Gabriel De Vos Rabie went in as Senior Warden and W. Bro. Gerrit Willem Scanlen went in as Junior Warden. The ceremony was conducted by V. W. Bro. Daniel Lawrence Gadd-Claxton our Deputy Grand Master. W. Bro. Peter Smulik was kind enough to use his bus to transport District Officers to Worcester, which was a real pleasure. We are finally back to normal with meetings and Installations. In January 2022, we had the Installation of United Service Lodge of Installed Commanders. Rodney Frank Atkinson went in again as Commander. Then on the 3rd February, St. George Mark Lodge had a Joining member, W. Bro. Rex Cecil Tester. On Saturday 5th February 2022, our first Executive Committee Meeting of 2022 took place at the Goodwood Sports Club. See picture below. Israel Mark and Israel RAM Lodges held Meeting on Monday 7th February 2022. Bro. Brent Carl Heaton was Elevated into Royal Ark Mariners.

St. George Mark Installation was held on Wednesday 4th November 2021 at Pinelands Masonic Centre. This was the second Installation since the dreaded Pandemic. The meeting was very well attended and District was there in full force. W. Bro. Trevor was Installed as Master in place of Lew Leppan. Brothers S.R. Sillifant and M.C. Wilson were Installed as Senior and Junior wardens respectively. The ceremony was done by our Deputy District Grand Master, Daniel Lawrence Gadd-Claxton. The Installation was followed by a formal Festive Board which was enjoyed by all.

On Saturday 9th October 2021, 12 members of District travelled to Hermanus to carry out their annual Installation of Walter Weeden Mark and Phoenix Royal Ark Mariners. The RAM was performed first, with W. Bro. Roger Vernon Smith going into the Chair as Commander. Senior Warden was Gerrie Du Plooy and Junior Warden Geoffrey Carver. This was followed by the Mark Installation. W. Bro. Coenraad Bierman going in as Master, Geoffrey Carver as Senior Warden and Keith Beelders as Junior Warden. Two Mark Grand Lodge Certificates were also presented by the District Grand Master, R.W. Bro. Pieter van den Berg....
