Friday 12.07.2024 was a most auspicious and historical milestone for Mark/RAM Masonry in South Africa in general and for Cape Town and the District of S.A. Western Division in particular, when the Pro G.M., M.W.Bro. John H Prizeman, accompanied by no less than four Mark/RAM Grand Officers, who are also Heads of various Orders based at Mark Masons Hall, London, namely R.W.Bro. Paul R. Clement P.Prov.GM,  R.W.Bro. A fair sized delegation of District Officers travelled to Hermanus on Saturday 14th October 2023 to perform the Installations of Phoenix Royal Ark Mariner and Walter Weeden Mark Lodges. Bro. G.L. Cango Mark/RAM Installation – Saturday 2nd September 2023

On Friday the 1st of September 2023, a delegation of 10 Western Division District Officers, travelled down to Mossel Bay to do the Installations of Cango RAM and also Cango Mark. This was the 1st Installation following the Mark Annual Meeting in July, and also the first Installation for our new District Grand Master, Daniel Gadd-Claxton. Mark Annual Meeting 1st July 2023

The Mark District Annual Meeting was held on Saturday 1st July 2023. It was fairly well attended, with a Full attendance of visitors and Sister Constitutions. It was also an occasion for the Investiture of a new District Grand Master – Daniel Lawrence Gadd-Claxton, a new Deputy District Grand Master – Hilton Oates and a new Assistant District Grand Master – Demond Mark Buckingham. Installation Meetings for 2023 so far.

 ISRAEL MARK/RAM LODGES. On 30th March 2023, Israel Mark and RAM held their Installation. Both were well attended. The RAM Installation was held first. Winston Allistair Schultz went in as Commander, unfortunately Ray Wainwright was not in attendance, but he was appointed Senior Warden and Martin Van Rensburg who was also not present was appointed Junior Warden.   In the Mark Alex Costopoulos was Installed as Master, Pieter Christoffel Pienaar was installed as Senior Warden and Martin André Van Rensburg was Installed as Junior Warden. 50 Years of Service.

Gabriel De Vos Rabie was presented with a Mark  50 Year Certificate of service, by our District Grand Master on Tuesday 29th November 2022, at a Regular Meeting of Drakenstein Mark Lodge No. 1120. He joined Drakenstein Mark Lodge on 28th of November 1972. He took the chair of Master on 30th May 2006. He served again as Master in the years 2014, 2015 and 2016. Mark Annual Spit Braai – Sunday 6th November 2022

The Mark had their annual Spit Braai on Sunday 6th November 2022, at the Goodwood Sports Club. The Goodwood Sports Club, once again let us use their venue at no cost, as the function was for charity purposes. We were supported by the Cape Town branch of the Masonic Windows and Sons. The Charity we chose for this year’s Function was the “Masonic Home for Quadriplegics & Paraplegics.” A number of their members and staff were present.
